Spend the day at Barton Springs
After 2020, it’s clear everyone can use a nice relaxing day out, either laying out or plunging into the 65 degree water at Barton Springs Pool. Lush green areas, beautiful clear blue water and the blazing Texas sun are sure to not disappoint. While reservations are required in order to maintain capacity limits it’s a sure sign that we are back on track to some normalcy. The pool is open for “swim at your own risk” daily from 5:00 am to 8:00 am and open for reservations from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Blue’s On The Green
Hosted by ACL Radio, Blues on the Green is very much missed and great fun for the entire family. Once a month new artists will play for free at Zilker Park. It’s fun for all ages and you can keep track of all update here.

While many will hail the likes of Franklins, or Salt Lick at the champions of BBQ, nothing compares to the epitome of central Texas BBQ like Terry Black’s. Located on Barton Springs Rd, it’s location is perfect for having a family lunch before heading to Barton Springs or Zilker Park, and the brisket is impossible to beat. Check out their menu here.
Paddle Boarding Lady Bird Lake
Lady Bird Lake, named after First Lady Johnson, is a reservoir in downtown Austin that has a multitude of water activities. Most notably, paddle boarding. A great way to engage your core for a nice work out a relaxing way to unwind you can be sure that this summer will be filled with fellow paddle boarders enjoying the sun and view of the Austin skyline.
