Issues

I’ve always believed in making the right choice, even when it comes at a cost. Pragmatism and common-sense solutions are key to addressing our challenges. I will work tirelessly to ensure everyone is represented, make sound decisions, and stand firm against party lines when it’s not in the best interest of my constituents.

Housing Affordability

The cost of housing has skyrocketed, making it harder for families, young professionals, and first-time homebuyers to achieve the American Dream. We need real solutions to drive home prices down and make homeownership more accessible.

Streamlining the Permitting & Building Process – Excessive and sometimes overzealous regulations have made home construction unnecessarily expensive and slow. By eliminating outdated and overly restrictive regulations, we can reduce construction costs, speed up development, and increase housing supply—helping to lower prices for everyone.

Home Buying Tax Credits & Assistance for First-Time Buyers – Owning a home shouldn't be out of reach for working Americans. I support tax credits for homebuyers and expanded assistance programs for first-time buyers to help with down payments and closing costs. We should be making it easier, not harder, for responsible buyers to own a home.

Fixed Interest Rates for Single-Family Homes – It’s unfair that two families buying the same $500,000 home can end up paying drastically different amounts simply because of fluctuating interest rates set by the Federal Reserve. One buyer might secure a 4% mortgage while another is forced to pay 7%, adding hundreds of dollars to their monthly payment and tens of thousands over the life of the loan. We need fixed, standardized interest rates for single-family homebuyers to level the playing field and ensure fair access to homeownership, regardless of market timing.

Housing should be affordable, accessible, and a path to financial stability—not an impossible dream due to unnecessary red tape and rising costs, and fluctuating interest rates.

Immigration Reform

Our immigration system is inefficient, outdated, and failing everyone. We need real reform that strengthens security while creating fair and practical pathways for legal immigration—not extreme policies that either open the borders entirely or shut them down completely.

Better Pathways to Citizenship – Those who follow the legal process should have a clear and fair path to citizenship, while also ensuring American jobs and wages are protected.

Safer & More Accessible Work Programs – Many industries, especially agriculture and seasonal labor, rely on migrant workers. Too often, these workers come here and get stuck, unable to return home. A structured seasonal or migrant worker visa program would allow individuals to work legally and return home safely, benefiting both employers and workers.

Preventing the Abuse of Visa Programs – Immigration reform isn’t just about low-wage labor. In industries like tech, companies often exploit visa programs to create a system of indentured servitude. Employers should be required to prove they cannot fill a position with American talent before turning to H-1B and other work visas.

Immigration reform should be balanced, fair, and focused on economic opportunity and accountability—not driven by fear, misinformation, or partisan politics.

Securing Retirement for All Americans

America’s retirement system is broken. Social Security, a lifeline for millions, is under increasing strain, and too many Americans are unable to save enough for a secure retirement. We need bold reform to ensure future generations can retire with dignity.

I am proposing the modernizing of Social Security while creating a universal retirement savings account for every American. This system would empower individuals to build personal savings throughout their careers, supplementing Social Security rather than replacing it.

By introducing a portable, worker-owned savings account, we can reduce dependence on a system facing insolvency, give Americans greater control over their financial future, and ensure that every worker—regardless of job changes—has a secure path to retirement.

It’s time for forward-thinking solutions that protect both current retirees and future generations. Dillon is committed to ensuring that hard work leads to financial security, not uncertainty.

Regulate AI and Big Tech

Artificial Intelligence and Big Tech are reshaping our economy and society, yet many of our representatives lack even basic technological literacy to regulate them effectively. We need smart, forward-thinking policies to ensure AI and tech giants serve the public good—not just corporate profits.

Protecting Workers from AI Displacement – AI is advancing rapidly, and without proper safeguards, it will lead to widespread job losses and economic disruption. We need legislation that protects workers while allowing AI to be developed responsibly.

Oversight & Guardrails for AI Development – Companies building AI systems must have strong oversight to ensure they don’t go rogue and that these technologies are used ethically and transparently. AI should be a tool for progress—not unchecked power.

Breaking Up Big Tech & Restoring Competition – A handful of corporations control our data, digital infrastructure, and economy. We need stronger antitrust measures to break up monopolies, foster real competition, and ensure a marketplace that benefits consumers, small businesses, and innovation.

If we don’t act now, Big Tech and AI will dictate our future—we need leaders who understand these challenges and will fight for fairness, accountability, and a balanced economy.

Healthcare Reform

America’s healthcare system is broken. Insurance companies and bureaucratic red tape drive up costs, limit access, and create unnecessary barriers between patients and the care they need. It’s time to put healthcare decisions back where they belong—between patients and their doctors.

Eliminating the Middleman – Insurance companies exist to maximize profits, not to provide care. We need to remove unnecessary intermediaries that drive up costs, restrict choices, and prioritize corporate profits over patient health.

Expanding Access to Care – Every American deserves high-quality healthcare, no matter their income or background. We must remove barriers to care, ensure hospitals and clinics are accessible to all, and invest in a system that prioritizes patient outcomes, not profit margins.

Transparent Pricing & Consumer Protections – Healthcare costs should never be a mystery. Patients deserve upfront, transparent pricing for medical procedures, medications, and hospital stays. We must also close loopholes that allow insurance fraud and exploitative billing practices that leave Americans drowning in medical debt.

Protecting a Woman’s Right to Choose – Personal medical decisions should be made by individuals, not politicians. Women must have the right to make their own reproductive healthcare choices without government interference, stigma, or arbitrary restrictions.

Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Dillon is committed to ending corporate influence over our healthcare system, ensuring transparency, eliminating fraud, and fighting for a patient-first system that prioritizes affordability, access, and medical freedom.

Term Limits on Congress & Lobbying Reform

Congress was never meant to be a lifetime career, yet too many politicians stay in office for decades, prioritizing special interests over the people they serve. We need real reforms to restore accountability and trust in our government.

Term Limits for Congress – House Representatives should be capped at 10 years, and Senators should be limited to two terms. Fresh leadership brings new ideas, less corruption, and a government that actually works for the people.

Banning the Revolving Door to Lobbying – Former members of Congress should be barred from becoming lobbyists for 10 years after leaving office. This prevents politicians from cashing in on their influence and ensures they serve the public—not corporate interests.

This is common sense, non-partisan reform that puts power back in the hands of the people—not career politicians and lobbyists.
