Who Can Register to Vote in Texas?
To be eligible to vote in Texas, you must:
✔️ Be a U.S. citizen
✔️ Be a resident of the county where you are registering
✔️ Be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day (You can pre-register at 17 years and 10 months)
✔️ Not be a convicted felon (unless you have completed your sentence, probation, or parole)
✔️ Not be declared mentally incompetent by a court
How to Register to Vote in Texas
1. Register by Mail
📝 Fill out a voter registration application and submit it by mail. You can:

Pick up a paper application at your county voter registrar’s office, libraries, post offices, or Texas DPS offices
Request a registration form be mailed to you by calling 1-800-252-VOTE (8683)
